Te aterrorizamos en inglés

El pasado viernes día 4 de noviembre y dentro de “Las Jornadas de Terror” celebradas en nuestro instituto, se celebró un cuentacuentos de terror bilingüe, organizado por los profesores de Inglés: Ángeles y Pedro.

La actividad comenzó en clase, proponiéndoles que realizaran una historia de terror en inglés. Cada alumno elaboró un relato, y luego entre ellos decidieron cuál era el mejor de cada clase. Estos relatos fueron escenificados de forma bilingüe en la biblioteca que estaba perfectamente decorada y ambientada para la ocasión.

Estos fueron los relatos de terror que se escenificaron en el cuentacuentos:

THE LAST HOURS FOR ALISON.

Alison was a girl that found a girl with a baby in her hands one night while she was passing by a bend with her car.

Alison era una chica que se encontró con una chica con un bebé en sus brazos una noche mientras pasaba con su coche junto a una curva.

When she left the car to help her,the woman had disappeared She hurried back home scared

Cuando bajó del cohe para ayudarla, la chica había desaparecido. Ella, muy asustada, se dió prisa en volver a su casa

When she got home, she listened to a baby crying in her bedroom and she ran away from home

Al llegar a casa,escuchó a un bebé llorando en su habitación y salió huyendo.

The next morning, Alison got back to that scarely house.

A la mañamna siguiente, Alison regresó a esa casa aterradora.

She opened the door carefully and when she started to open it , she saw bloody footprints and she followed them up to the darkest area of the house.

Ella abrió la puerta con cuidado y cuando entró , vió algunas huellas de zapatos con sangre y las siguió hasta la parte más oscura de la casa.

It was a hounted house in Transylvania where a helpless girl called Alison had spent her last hours of life.

Se trataba de una casa encantada en Transylvania donde una pobre niña llamada Alison había pasado sus últimas horas de vida.

THE TWINS

Once upon a time, there was a family that lived near a busy road.

Érase una vez, había una familia que vivía junto a una carretera muy transitada.

One day, the mother,Emily,couldn´t take their daughters to schooll as normally, so she left them alone.

Un día, la madre Emily, no pudo llevar a sus hijas al colegio así que las dejó ir solas.

The twins took their hands and crossed the road but they didn´t see a truck and they died.

Las gemelas se cogieron de la mano y cruzaron la carretera pero no vieron un camion que se acercaba y murieron atropellada.

Four years later, the mother gave birth to twins again, They were similar to the dead sisters.

Cuatro años más tarde, la madre dió a luz a gemelas otra vez y se parecían mucho a las gemelas fallecidas.

Emily had a terrible obsession to care them and she didn´t allow them to approach the road.

Emily estaba obsesionada con cuidarlas y no les permitía acercarse a la carretera.

One day, the twins went to school but when they were walking on the pavement,her mother took their hands and said to them:

Un día, las gemelas fueron al colegio pero cuando caminaban por la acera, su madre les cogió de la mano y les dijo:

-”Don´t cross!”.

“No crucéis”

The girls looked at her mother and answered.

-”We don´t think to cross, we did it once and it will not happen again.”

Las niñas miraron a su madre y contestaron:

“No pensamos cruzar, ya lo hicimos una vez y no sucederá de nuevo”

A BAD PRESENT

Every year , Reyes´family used to go to her grandmother´s house to wait for the presents brought by The Three Kings.

Cada año, los Reyes suelen ir a casa de su abuela a esperar por los regalos que van a traer los tres reyes magos

When Evelyn got up , she went to the supermarket to buy food for the dinner. She went walking and she realized there was a man following her.

Cuando Evelyn se levanto, fue al supermercado para comprar comida para la cena. Fue caminando y se dió cuenta de que un hombre la seguía.

She bought and left but her coming back home wasn´t easy.

Compró y salió pero su vuelta a casa no fue fácil.

It was 12 o´clock, so Evelyn´s mother was worried because her daughter was not at home after three hours.

Eran las doce y la madre de Evelyn estaba preocupada porque su hija no estaba en casa después de tres horas.

She phoned the girl but nobody answered. Later, she called her friends but nobody knew where she was

Llamó a la chica pero contestó. Después llamó a sus amigos pero no sabían dónde estaba.

Time passed by and The three king´s day had finished.”Where was Eve?, Was she ok?.

El tiempo pasó y se terminó el día de los tres reyes magos, pero : ¿dónde estaba Eve?. ¿Estaba bien?

In the morning,the father went to the lounge, there weren´t any gifts under the tree,only a bag with a note

A la mañana siguiente , su padre bajó a la sala, no habían regalos debajo del árbol,sólo un bolso con una nota

He read it: “HAPPY CHRISTMAS!”. He opened the bag and it was her daughter´s body without head and legs.

La leyó en voz alta:”Feliz Navidad”. Abrió la bolsa y…………….. era su hija sin cabeza ni piernas

The legend says that every 6th of January, you will listen to steps walking next to your bed. While you are sleeping, you will hear voices saying: “Where is my body?

La leyenda dice que cada seis de Enero se escuchan pasos cerca de tu cama y mienstras duermes oirás voces que preguntan: ¿Dónde está mi cuerpo?

And you will know what will happen to you.

Y sabrás lo que puede sucederte.

THE WINDOW GAME

Hello, I am a person who loves the paranormal and I have one very special game to show you, maybe some of you know this game. It is the window game. This game is very simple but a mistake can take your life. Let me explain the rules now.

Hola, soy alguien a quien le encanta lo paranormal y tengo un juego muy especial que enseñarte, tal vez, algunos ya conozcan el juego. Es el juego de la ventana. Es un juego muy simple pero un error puede costarte la vida. Dejad que explique las reglas.

The window game is a challenge to see your perseverance, patience and level of curiosity. You only need to do one thing to play. At night, near the end of every month, you have to close the window and the curtains of your room before going to bed, but you have to do it very carefully, so that you can’t see what is outside.

El juego de la ventana es un reto para poner a prueba tu perseverancia, paciencia y nivel de curiosidad. Solo necesitas una cosa para jugar. Por la noche, casi al final de mes, tienes que cerrar la ventana de tu habitación y las cortinas antes de irte a la cama, pero debes hacerlo con mucho cuidado, para que no puedas ver nada del exterior.

The curtains must be perfectly placed on the window. This is what attracts the visitor’s attention. You need to know that this will require several attempts as it doesn’t always come the first time. It usually occurs after six or twelve attempts.

Las cortinas deben estar perfectamente colocadas cubriendo toda la ventana. Esto es lo que atraerá la atención del visitante. Debes saber que deberás intentarlo varias veces, ya que no siempre acude la primera vez. Normalmente, vendrá después de seis o doce intentos.

And you may think, how do we know if it works? and most importantly… what is this game about?

Puede que ahora estés pensando, ¿Cómo sabemos si el juego funciona? Y lo más importante… ¿De qué va este juego?

You will know if it works when the game starts, and it, my friend, starts when you wake up. Something will wake you up: a tap on the window.

Tranquilo, sabrás cuando el juego ha empezado, porque el juego, amigo mío, empieza, cuando te despiertas. Algo te despertara: un golpe en la ventana.

You will start listening to some taps on the window. At first, they will be slow and soft, but gradually they will be stronger and more persistent. To win this game you must pretend you are sleeping.

Escucharas algunos golpes en la ventana. Al principio, serán lentos y suaves, pero se volverán más fuertes e insistentes. Para ganar este juego, debes fingir que estas durmiendo en todo momento.

Here is where things get interesting, as there are several signs which can reveal someone is not sleeping like moving too much, shaking or sweating or if you open your eyes. You must pretend you are sleeping all the time.

Aquí es cuando las cosas se ponen interesantes, ya que hay muchas formas para saber cuando alguien no está durmiendo de verdad, como por ejemplo, si se mueve demasiado, si tiembla, empieza a sudar o si pestañeas. Debes fingir que estas durmiendo en todo momento.

Meanwhile, what is behind the window will continue knocking. If the creature stops knocking on the window, don’t fall asleep again, because the creature will knock harder than before. It will be observing you all the time from the outside.

Mientras tanto, lo que está detrás de la ventana continuara dando golpes para desconcentrarte. Si la criatura deja de golpear la ventana, no te dejes dormir de nuevo, porque volverá a golpear más fuerte que antes. Te estará observando todo el tiempo desde fuera, aunque tú no veas nada.

It will hit the window so hard at times, that you may think it’s going to wake someone up, or that the window is going to break. Don’t worry, no one will listen to it except you, and you are protected as long as you can pretend to be sleeping.

A veces, golpeara la ventana tan fuerte, que pensaras que alguien más se despertara, o que la ventana va a romperse. No te preocupes, nadie más lo escuchara excepto tú, y solamente estarás a salvo si eres capaz de fingir que duermes.

Don’t ask for help, nobody can help you, it’s only you and that thing, the visitor, the creature. The game lasts all night until dawn. You will know if you have won when you see the sunlight coming through the window, but if you lose, the visitor will kidnap you, and you will never meet your family or friends again.

No pidas ayuda, nadie podrá ayudarte, solo estarás tú y esa cosa, el visitante, la criatura. El juego dura toda la noche, hasta el amanecer. Sabrás si has ganado el juego cuando la luz del sol entre por la ventana, pero… si pierdes, la criatura te secuestrara, y nunca jamás volverás a ver a tu familia o a tus amigos.
